We invite seniors and friends to share memories and create moving stories together.

Park’n Dance is offering a series of 4 free, senior focused workshops in various Guelph neighbourhoods and community centres.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada – New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Neighbourhood Seniors Interactive Reflections

Opportunities for Seniors to network by sharing reflections of life experiences creating a special web of stories.

We are bringing a series of 4 senior-focused intergenerational workshops to neighbourhood groups in Guelph.

The intergenerational workshops, inspired by the seniors’ memories, will develop interesting interactive creations reflecting life experiences in the neighbourhood.

We are looking for:

  • Senior participants interested in sharing some of their memories of the neighbourhood.
  • Neighbourhood members who are interested in connecting with seniors in the community.

Creative Intergenerational Collaboration Project

This is a PWYC (pay what you can event) with $10.00 suggested.

Park’n Dance is pleased to invite the public to a showing of the work and documentary of the process created in our Creative Intergenerational Collaboration. This project is made possible thanks to the New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Under the direction of Sarah Jane Burton, Guelph dancers/choreographers Robert Kingsbury, Janet Johnson, Megan Robinson, Leslie Fisher and Lynette Segal have partnered with seniors with Parkinson’s to develop original duets based on life experiences of the seniors. The process has been exhilarating, as well as insightful and Park’n Dance looks forward to sharing the duets, with musical support of James Gordon with the public. World Parkinson’s Day April 11th, 2019

  • Our class April 11th will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm & social time will merge with the Guelph Parkinson’s support group meeting from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
  • Class will be by donation ($5 per person suggested)
  • There will be light refreshments and great company.
